I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, but... I was just snooping around on the shopify page, trying to make up my mind, and I see that on the CT page, it says that it's a full level darker than other color brands.
However, does this mean that the hair will turn out a level darker than the swatches at the bottom of the page? So for example, if I wanted my hair to come out the color of a swatch that is labeled "7/73," or some such, then I should order the color that is labeled "8/73?" (I am trying to cover some gray/white hair, so I guess -- in theory -- I don't have to worry too much about ULP?)
Or are you just saying that their colors *and* the swatches, happen to be one level darker? So that if I want the 7/73, I should order the 7/73, but I should just be aware that in some other line, that same color (or close to it) would be labeled as a 8/73?
Or, should I just ignore the swatches entirely? (I'm not ready for that yet, I think.)
I am such a hair tool, btw, that I still am not sure what level I am! I have very dark brown hair, but for the life of me, I don't know if I'm a 2, 3, or 4!!! Could I figure this out by comparing my hair to the dreaded boxed-color boxes in the store? (It is long enough that I can drape some over the box, though of course that hair is a little bit lightened by the sun already.)
I swear that at least on the online level charts, the 2, 3 and 4 are so close that I can't really tell them apart. I've tried, I really have. Even the level pictures on the picture blog don't get me to certainty. Maybe I should just declare myself a 3 and let it go already.
I am almost ready to mail you some of my hair, so you could tell me what level. Haha, I bet you don't want that. It would probably be icky, right? I'm not sure I can swing a consult just now, but it may soon come to that.
Eeesh. Well, it's just hair. I need to get a grip! Sorry to be such a whinger!!
How are you these days? I hope you are well!!! I have pretty much been through the whole blog now and I feel like I've learned a lot. I can see that a lot of people are way more adventurous than me, and I really enjoy the pictures especially.
