  1. Hi I was looking at the blog abot the hair slices..I was wondering, to do that would I still have to do every slice an inch away from the scalp first still because in another blog I read how u mentioned hair closer to the scalp changes faster due to natural body heat.

btw, I love this site it helps out ALOT!!!!!! I reallyyyyy appreciate it. We need more hair stylists and consultants like you around!

  2. Yikes....Camerons hair looks awful in these pics...it looks like she hasnt colored in months and really should have. Is that really the right technique, and thats how its supposed to look? It looks like her stylist went on an extended vacation.

  3. Yes, that is exactly how it is supposed to look and I for one thinks its wonderful, there are a lot of variations on the technique - like I would probably have 3-5 1/2 inch pieces of light blond going up higher.. cutting into the line of regrowth.
    but
I have a whole lot of people that love this look too, it will grow on you..give it time. Like any "new" trend, lots of people are aghast at it at first, then after seeing it on more and more people you learn to like it., its been "in" in England and Europe for the past 2 years.
I've been waiting for it to catch on here in the states. She has gotten highlights for the past 20 years as has the rest of the USA. I truly think 20 years is long enough for one trend.
Another of the new trends? Is all one color, or if you want something with more spark..
..Panels of color or BLOCK Color - where there are 5 panels of color within the hair. Although this one is more for the under 30 crowd. Done right?
    Smashing.

  5. What I meant was...When lightening hair..I always get the advice to start the bleaching process at least an inch off from the roots...Because that area lightens up alot faster than the rest of your hair would...So When doing the foiling for the slices...Would I do that as in starting an inch away from the roots?

  6. i still don't understand your question. . . . .??
are you talking about these pictures or are you talking about lightening in general???

  7. no not these pictures...but from another blog...where you talked about doing hair slices instead of the highlights ...would I start the slices an inch away from the scalp because with bleach the hair closes to your scalp (roots) lighten alot faster...so therefor you would start an inch away from the scalp and wait about 15-20 minutes then apply the lightener to the roots...I hope im not frustrating you I was just reading and it said the easiest way to contact you was to comment the latest blog post so thats why i left my comment here...
