Reasonably Priced Powerful Products

Tea Tree Aid

Remember my recommendation of ORGANIX HAIR as the best-least-expensive-shampoo that is SLS-FREE, which has all terrific ingredients to clean that mop on your head??
Remember? Well . . . . tea tree3
Organix has introduced Tea Tree Mint, a collection of hydrating, scented milk protein-infused hair treatments for over-processed tresses. Products include shampoo, conditioner, leave-in moisturizer mist, and a shea butter treatment.
Within the shea butter line is a new Liquid Glass Serum which is a blend of organic shea butter to instantly protect your hair with the unique nutrient infusion & hydrolyzed proteins, which protects, smoothes, conditions and shines your hair.  Yogurt proteins, shea butter and vitamins smooth, seal & shine, conditions & detangles dry damaged hair while preventing frizz . All this while giving your hair the radiant glow of glass.
These products are not going to be the caliber of my top recommendations (that are at least twice the price) , wouldn't it be marvelous if they were...by the list of ingredients in each one of them they are extremely impressive, I have no hesitation in recommending them. For those of you that try them, please be sure to let everyone know how you like them, by writing in.
All available at select Target, Kroger, Safeway, Longs, CVS, check your local drug store.

  1. Until I can afford better quality from KC I bought the Organix shampoo & conditioner at target $6.88 ea (one came with a mail in rebate, so 1 was free). It seems like pretty good stuff. I am of course using Thriven deep condtioner so this conditioner pales in comparison. Just got it if I needed one in between Thriven treatments.

  2. Let us know how you think it is...I used the shampoo till I gave away it to a client who was down on her luck, and thought it was perfectly fine. It truly is.

  3. I got this shampoo for my boyfriend, he has mid-back length dark brown hair, but it's always been a bit uncontrollable, dry flyaway ends and all. Anyway, so I got it for him at Target, and not only is his hair much smoother, but it smells AMAZING!! There are a couple other scents, but the green tea one is delicious. I used it myself a couple of times, I've been using the ABBA Gentle Shampoo, and it's honestly just as good. Definately need to use a detangler with the Organix, and I think it has to do with the DEA that's in it, that isn't in the ABBA. It's a mystery ingredient, I have no idea what it is or does.

  4. So as a follow up, I ran out of ABBA and decided to stick with the ORGANIX myself for a while. It cleans REALLY well, but for my hair, it leaves it a bit too dry and unbalanced after the shower, even with detangling spray. (it actually becomes something of a nightmare to comb through, and I'm always worried I'm going more harm than good...) I'm going to pick up a bottle of the matching in-shower conditioner to use with it until I run out of the shampoo, but after that it's back to ABBA.

  5. GP,
Yes, I've heard that from some of our readers...that only means they have not handled the pH of the product...such a simple procedure for these companies...

I've found a new low priced one, from all i've read sounds worth trying. Maybe they've done their homework on pH balancing. KC

  6. Ok so I got so excited I ran to my nearest store to buy this product...
first thing i noticed after 1 shampoo is that my dandruff completely disappeared! HOPEFULLY it will stay that way.
Second, it didn't lather which is another good sign (but felt weird for the first time with no suds and bubbles)
and third my hair felt squeaky clean and really light....

so far so good :) i'll post back with another update after the bottle is done.

  8. KC - first off, THANK YOU for making this informative blog and educating us all on the bad ingredients in many shampoos.

I am Asian, have color treated and heat damaged hair from using flat iron (this I cannot give up... looks unprofessional to have weird wavy hair, unfortunately). I always noticed that shampoos left my hair SO tanlged and unmanageable.

After reading your blog, I'm going to Walgreens today to purchase some Organix - which are Buy 1 Get 1 Free right now. I will let you know the results!

  9. Hi KC - just got back from Walgreens. I saw 2 other brands that are sulfate and paraben free - Esencia, and Vitamins. Do you have any thoughts on these, and are they comparable to Organix?

    Thank you!
